Medical research, delivered
Breakthroughs that reach further.
We are a science-first research company turning human biology into medicines — from first target to the patient who needs it. 41 programs. 18 countries. One purpose.
Who we are
A research company built around one question: what does the patient actually need?
Baxtra was founded in 2011 by a group of translational immunologists who were tired of watching good science stall between the bench and the bedside. We build around disease biology rather than around molecule types, which means every program starts with a human dataset and a defined patient population.
Today we run four research engines — protein degradation, precision immunology, targeted delivery and mRNA — supported by a genomics platform covering more than 1.6 million consented participant records.
Our commitments
- Publish results from every registrational trial, positive or negative
- Enroll trials that reflect the populations the medicine will treat
- Tiered, income-indexed pricing in low- and middle-income countries
- Independent ethics review for every human study we sponsor
- No animal study without a documented replacement assessment
Therapeutic areas
Where we focus
Immunology & Inflammation
Oral and biologic therapies for rheumatoid arthritis, IBD, lupus nephritis and atopic disease, guided by tissue-level immune phenotyping.
Learn moreOncology
Degrader and antibody–drug conjugate programs in lung, breast, colorectal and haematologic cancers, with a focus on resistance mechanisms.
Learn moreNeuroscience
Disease-modifying approaches in ALS, Parkinson’s disease and treatment-resistant depression, built on CSF and imaging biomarkers.
Learn moreRare Disease
Gene therapy and enzyme replacement for ultra-rare metabolic and neuromuscular conditions, developed with patient registries from day one.
Learn moreVaccines & Infectious Disease
Self-amplifying mRNA vaccines for respiratory pathogens and a next-generation antibacterial program targeting Gram-negative resistance.
Learn moreCardiometabolic
Oral incretin biology and lipoprotein(a) lowering, with cardiovascular outcomes trials designed alongside regulators.

“A trial result only matters if the person it was meant for can eventually get the medicine. That is the whole job.”
